Sixth match of IPL season 2014 was played between Kolkat Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils at Dubai. Delhi Daredevils won the match by 4 wickets with 3 balls remaining. JP Duminy was hero of the match he smashed quick 52 runs of 35 balls and he declared man of the match for his valuable inning.
Earlier, Kolkata won the toss and decided to bat first. Kolkata lost both openers for a duck and could not made batter start by opting to bat first. But, MK Pandey 48 and RV Uthappa 55 played useful innings for Kolkata and put defendable score of 166 runs at the end of 20 overs.
Following target of 167 runs, Delhi also lost M Vijay for a duck. But, MA Agarwal 26 runs and skipper KD Karthik 56 of 40 balls played superb inning and put Delhi in winning position. In later overs JP Duminy played firing inning of 52 runs of 35 balls and lifted possible win from Kolkata and won the match by 4 wickets.
Thus, Delhi got 2 importan points and Kolkata 0. JP Duminy declared man of the match for his match winning inning of 52 runs.
