IPL 7 Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders Report

11th match of IPL season 2014 was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders at Sharjah. Kolkata Knight Riders lifted possible win fron Royals Challengers by just 2 runs and disappointed Bangalore as well. CA Lynn declared man of the match for his 45 runs and one superb catch in last over of AB de Villiers.

Earlier Bangalore won the toss and decided to field first. Kolkata could not made batter start and lost skipper gambhir for a duck. This was his 3rd consecutive duck in this season. MK Panday also departed early. But, CA Lynn joined with JH Kallis and playd sensible cricket. Both kept wickets in hand and rotate strikes rate as well. At the end of 20 overs Kolkata managed to put good totals of 150 runs to achieved for Bangalore.

Following target of 151 runs, Bangalore got good start with openers. PA Patel and Takawale played well initially. But, both got out on 67 runs of of Bangalore. Skipper V Kolhi and Yuvraj Singh took the charge and played good crickt in middle overs. But in later overs Kolkata bowlers bowled well and at time Bangalore needed 4 runs on last ball of 20th over. In a heart beating game Kolkata succeeded to hold nerves well and won the match by just 2 runs margins.

Thus, Kolkata got 2 important points and stayed on 4th position while, Bangalore remained on 3rd position. CA Lynn declared man of the match for his 45 runs and picked up 2 catches on the field.
