Fifth match of IPL season 2014 was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians at Dubai. Royal Challengers Bangalore won the match by 7 wickets and secured top most position in points table tally of ipl season 7. PA Patel declared man of the match for his 57* runs in 45 balls.
Earlier Bangalore won the toss and elected to field first. Mumbai batsmen could not stood in middle for long and regularly lost wickets in quick interwals. At the end of 20 overs Mumbai managed to put 115 runs on board to achieved for Bangalore.
Following small target of 116 runs, Bangalore lost 3 wickets early in inning and top orders put Bangalore in trouble. Kohli and Yuvraj Singh gone for duck. But, Parthiv Patel stood in middle and took the charge with AB de Villiers and played superb innings. Bangalore registered win in 17.3 overs and hold top most position in Points Tally of IPLT20 2014.
