IPL 7 Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Kolkata Knight Riders Report

43rd match of IPL season 7 has been played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad. Kolkata won the match by huge margins of 7 wickets in a low scoring match. Umesh Yadav declaered man of the match for his 3 wickets in his 4 overs spending 26 runs.

Earlier, Hyderabad won the toss and decided to bat first. Hyderabad could not made batter start and lost in form batsman AJ Finch early. S Dhawan and Naman Ojha took the charge and played good cricket for few overs. Dhawan started well but fall scoring 19 runs. DA Warner joined with NV Ojha and played good inning of 34 runs of just 18 balls. Other lower order batsmen got good start but failed to play long and quick innings for Hyderabad and finished with 142 runs at the end of 20 overs.

Following target of 143 runs, Kolkata started inning with RV Uthappa and skipper G Gambhir confidently. Gambhir departed early scoring just 6 runs. NK PAndey joined with RV Uthappa and played superb inning of 35 rus in middle overs. Uthappa also made very good 40 runs. Middle order batsmen YK Pathan (39*) and RN ten Doeschate (25*) played sensible cricket and gave Kolkata win by 7 wickets in 19.4 overs.

Thus, Kolkata got important 2 points and Sunrisers Hyderabad dis-appointed with 0 points. Umesh Yadav declated man of the match for his tight bowling and picked up 3 wickets for Kolkata.
