2nd match of 2015 IPL season 8 will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Daredevils at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Delhi won the toss and put Chennai into bat first. Chennai got good start but finished with 150 runs in 20 overs. DR Smith was top scorer and made 34 for CSK. Delhi failed to chase given target and lost the match by just 1 run. Ashish Nehra bowled well and picked up important 3 wickets for Chennai. He declared man of the match for his superb bowling preformance.
Earlier, Delhi won the toss and decided to field first. Chennai putting into bat first, started inning very aggrassively. But, BB McCullum (4) and SK Raina (4) runs lost wickets quickly and Chennai into trouble. F du Plessis joined with DR Smith and played good cricket initially. bothcontributed 32 and 34 runs respectively. In later overs skipper MS Dhoni played quick cricket and made 30 runs. Chennai managed to put 150 runs at the end of 20 overs.
Following target of 150 runs, Delhi could not batter start and lost 3 wickets in 5 overs scoring just 39 runs. JA Morkel took the charge in hand and played superb inning for Delhi but at other end Delhi continued to lost wickets in regular interwals and lost the match by just 1 run. On the last ball of inning Delhi needed 6 runs to win but Morkel managed to score 4 runs and heatr beating game ended in favor of Chennai Super Kings.
