53rd match of 2015 IPL season 8 will be played between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali. Opting to bat Punjab's batsmen continued to fail even in last game of IPL 8 and managed to put small totals of 130 runs in 20 overs. Chennai chased successfully the given target in 16.5 overs having lost 3 wickets and won the match by 7 wickets. F du Plessis made very well 55 runs but, Pawan Negi declared man of the match for his important 2 wickets for Cheinnai.
Earlier, Punjab won the toss and decided to bat first. Punjab all batemen failed to stood in middle for long and lost wickets in regular interwals and managed to put very small totals of 130 runs against superb batting line-up team CSK in 20 overs.
Following small totals of 131 runs, Chennai also could not made batter start and MEK Hussy who played 1st game of IPL8 and man in form batsman BB McCullum very cheaply. F du Plessi and SK Rain came in middle and took charge in hand for Chennai and played very sensible cricket in tense situation. Plessis made very well 55 runs and Rain remained till and with 41 runs and gave Chennai easy win in 16.5 overs and qualified for Playoff as well.
