35th match of 2015 IPL season 8 will be played between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali. Opting to bat first, Mumbai Indians put 172 runs with top orders 111 runs stand between PA Patel's quick 59 of 36 balls and LMP Simmons 71 runs. Punjab in relpy managed to score 149 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 27 runs. LMP Simmons declared man of the match for his 71 runs of 56 balls.
Earlier, Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bat first. Mumbai got sound start with PA Patel and LMP Simmons. Both played very positive and confident cricket and added 111 runs for 1st wicket before PA Patel got out scoring very well 59 runs of just 36 balls. Skipper RG Sharma joined with Simmons and made 26 runs. LMP Simmons played splendid cricket for Mumbai and contributed well 71 runs and put Mumbai on 172 runs at the end of 20 overs.
Following target of 173 runs, Punjab again failed to made good start by openers and lost V Sehwag early in 2nd over. GJ MAxwell also failed today and lost his wicket scoring just 12 runs. M Vijay 39 runs and DA Miller 43 runs played good cricket for Punjab but not enough to save match and at the end of 20 overs KXIP managed to score 149 runs and lost the match by 23 runs.
