23rd match of 2015 IPL season 8 will be played between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Mumbai Indians after winning toss managed to put average score of 157 runs in 20 overs. Sunrisers in relpy could not chase well and managed to score 137 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 20 runs. SL Malinga bowled well today and picked-up 4 wickets spending 23 runs and declared man of the match for his super fine bowling.
Earlier, Mumbai won the toss and opted to bat first. Mumbai started inning with PA PAtel and LMP Simmons. Patel gone early scoring 17 runs and next coming UBT Chand also lost his wicket cheaply scoring just 5 runs. Skipper RG Sharma joined with LMP Simmons and for few overs kept wickets in hand and played good cricket. RG Sharma contributed quick 24 runs of 15 balls before lost his wicket. LMP Simmons played useful inning of 51 runs and put Mumbai on 157 runs at the end of 20 overs. KA Pollard also made 33 runs for Mumbai Indians.
Following target of 158 runs. Sunrisers open inning with S Dhawan and DA Warner confidently. DA Warner lost his wicket early scoring 9 runs. S Dhawan stood in middle and played good inning for Hyderabad. He contributed well 42 runs. KL Rahul also made 24 runs before lost his wicket. Other middle and lower order batsmen could not understand SL Malinga's bowling well and at the end of 20 overs SRH managed to score 137 runs and lost the match by 20 runs.
