3rd Quarter Final match of ICC Worldcup 2015 has been played between Australia and Pakistan at Adelaide Oval today. Australia with good all round performances won the match by 6 wickets and advanced to semi final of worldcup 2015. JR Hazlewood (Australia) declared man of the match for his superb bowling with 4 wickets spending 35 runs of his 10 overs.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first and set target for home team Australia. Pakistan could not made batter start and lost both opening batsmen on team score 24 runs. Haris Sohail 41 runs and skipper Misbah-ul-haq 34 runs played good cricket for Pakistan but, other Pakistan middle and lower batsmen failed to stood in middle for long and lost wickets in regulart interwals. Pakistan managed to score 231 runs at the end of 49.5 overs.
Following target of 214 runs, Australia also lost AJ Finch early scoring just 2 runs. DA Warner also departed scoring 24 runs followed by MJ Clarke 8 runs. SPD Smith and SR Watson took charge in hand and shaped up Australia inning well. Both contributed 65 and 64* runs for Australia and gave easy win by 6 wickets in 33.5 overs. Australia advanced to Semi Final of 2015 ICC Worldcup.
